Ok plz help - music question...?

I need to find a song to sing for my practical music exam in school in 6 weeks.

I sing soprano in choir but I'm not an opera singer or anything and I'd rather sing something in english. Something easy. A modern song which I can find the chords for on the internet for free would be great because my teacher needs to play the piano to accompany me.

I need 2 songs, and one of them is 'Winter' by Tori Amos. That is a song that is in my range and easy for me.

Could anyone please suggest anything else?

I dont want Hayley Westenra, Ana Nalick, Sarah McLachlan, Vanessa Carlton or anything in Italian right now.

I love Kate Bush but my teacher won't let me sing 'Wuthering Heights' for the exam because it's too difficult.

How about something by Alanis Morrisette or Sheryl Crow? if that's too pop for you i agree with the other response that maybe u could sing a different kate bush song. or, what about something by Carole King? if u haven't heard of her she's one of the greatest female songwriters ever. She wrote 'You've got a friend' and '(you make me feel like) a natural woman'... but she has a song called 'Tapestry' which i think is fantastic, and might compliment your voice nicely! Good luck, i know how nerve-wracking those performance exams can be! =)

I dont know if your looking for female singers only but have you heard anything by jeff buckley? Also listen to Augustana - Boston (Got great piano in it) Sorry if thats no help, im no good with anything thats not rock or 80's related
